New journal article: Tracking timbral changes in metal productions 1990-2013 (Intellect journals)

Hello,

The first issue of Metal Music Studies on Intellect is out now. It has a lot of fascinating interdisciplinary articles in it, including my take on using psychoacoustics to interpret technological changes in the approach to productions found over the last 20 or so years.

My paper starts on page 39 (full details are on the publications page under 'Journals/magazine articles').

There are three issues per volume and the journal is very reasonably priced - don't forget to check with your library if they are subscribing if you are interested in interdisciplinary approaches to music (of all genres of course, but in particular metal in all its guises).

Lots more coming soon, but that's it for now.

Cheers,

Duncan

EDIT - 1 Oct 2014: In a bold move, Intellect have made the first issue of this journal free via the following link:

Happy reading!
